Current Query Response Times
I have responded to ALL queries and requested materials sent before December 15th, 2023. If you've queried me before this date and haven't heard back yet, please follow up! I don't typically close queries without responding to them, so if you haven't heard from me yet, it means that I likely haven't seen your query or that my response never reached you!
I aim to respond to all queries within 8-12 weeks.

FAQ
Can I query more than one LGLM agent at a time?
Please only reach out to one of us at a time! If we pass, you're welcome to reach out to another!
If you passed on a manuscript, can I resubmit it if it's been revised?
Yes, with some caveats! I'm open to considering revisions, HOWEVER, please note that I can only consider the same book again if the revisions have been significant and substantial, and it's undergone major structural changes or extensive rewrites. (A good rule of thumb is that if it feels like a whole new book, or you've had to redo all or most of the query letter to reflect the new direction of the story, you can go ahead and send it--but, it truly does need to feel like an overhaul.)
I don't advise re-querying with smaller changes or a line-level polish. I've just found that if a story didn't feel like the right fit for me the first time, it's incredibly rare for more minor revisions to make a big enough difference, and you're going to have a much better chance reaching out to another LGLM agent, or coming back with a new project if you find yourself querying in the future.
How do I address you in my query?
I just go by Lee most of the time. You can just go ahead and use my first name when you query me, but if you feel more comfortable being a bit formal, I usually use Mr. or Mx., and I'm fine with either. I use he/they pronouns.
I just submitted my query and realized there's a mistake--help?
It's totally alright! If it's something small like a typo, you can just let it be. It happens to all of us, and I've honestly never passed on a query over a minor spelling or grammar mistake. If it's a bigger formatting issue or something important is missing from the query, please feel free to send a follow-up message with the corrected query or pages in the same email chain.
Do you accept AI generated or AI assisted submissions?
No. For a number of ethical and legal reasons, I do not accept submissions that have been created with AI or AI assistance. If I discover at any point after signing that you've used AI in your work without disclosing it, please be aware that this is grounds to terminate the LGLM agency agreement.
Likewise, if you promote your work with AI generated art, we are not a good fit.
